Before starting IVF treatment, necessary tests must be performed to understand if there is any condition that prevents pregnancy. These tests include hormone levels, ultrasound examinations, blood tests, and various other medical evaluations. Our medical team will guide you through all necessary tests.
For mother candidates, the following tests and examinations are typically required:
1. Hormone Tests: FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone), LH (Luteinizing Hormone), AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone), E2 (Estradiol), Prolactin, TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), and Progesterone levels are measured to assess ovarian reserve and hormonal balance.
2. Ultrasound Examination: Transvaginal ultrasound is performed to evaluate the uterus, ovaries, and endometrial thickness. This helps identify any structural abnormalities, cysts, or fibroids that might affect treatment.
3. Blood Tests: Complete blood count, blood type and Rh factor, infectious disease screening (HIV, Hepatitis B and C, Syphilis), and genetic screening tests are conducted.
4. Hysterosalpingography (HSG): This X-ray procedure examines the uterus and fallopian tubes to check for blockages or abnormalities.
5. Hysteroscopy: In some cases, a camera is inserted into the uterus to directly visualize and treat any abnormalities.
6. Genetic Testing: Chromosomal analysis and genetic carrier screening may be recommended based on family history.
7. Additional Tests: Depending on individual circumstances, tests for autoimmune disorders, clotting disorders, or other medical conditions may be required.
These comprehensive tests ensure that we can develop the most appropriate treatment plan for each patient and maximize the chances of a successful pregnancy.
